Brittany has practiced law for over a decade and has dedicated more than half of her career to education law. During those years she has helped clients in many facets with discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints or concerns. She has served as an outside investigator for the client as well as guided them step-by-step through the handling of internal investigations. She has also aided clients with the post-investigation steps including report and outcome letter preparation, appeal process, and employee/student discipline. She has helped clients ensure compliance with district policy and the law to insulate the district, staff, and board members from liability exposure.
Brittany has also aided clients through education and training. She has conducted seminar presentations and in-service trainings across the State of Missouri on many topics including what staff need to know to protect their districts from and how to handle claims or concerns of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. She has trained both colleges and school districts in groups both big and small. Her trainees have included everyone from front office staff and teachers to administrators and school board members.
Brittany graduated in the top ten of her law school class at Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2012. She has been recognized as a Missouri Rising Star Attorney by Super Lawyers every year from 2018 through 2022. She also received the distinction of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in St. Louis in 2023 for employment law.
